Quad Goals: Nintendo Brings Nintendo Switch to Colleges This Fall

Visit the Nintendo Switch: Together Tour to Earn a Bachelor’s in Fun-onomics

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Countless college students over the last 25 years have memories about Nintendo – from playing Mario Kart with friends in dorm rooms late into the night, to meeting up for some friendly Super Smash Bros. competitions in the rec center. Nintendo and college go hand in hand like Mario and a pair of overalls (which his mom obviously washes for him when he visits home).

To introduce the newest generation of college students to the newest generation of Nintendo games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo is enrolling in college campuses this fall with its open-to-everyone Nintendo Switch: Together Tour. Running from Sept. 30 to Nov. 21, the tour is a great way for busy college students to take a break from some of the stresses of college life and let off some steam with a little friendly cross-campus competition. The tour will feature colorful Nintendo Switch kiosks equipped with a wide selection of games, memorable photo opportunities and awesome giveaways, while supplies last. And there’s no need to B.Y.O.G. (bring your own game), as visitors will have access to some of the best multiplayer games on the system, including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Super Mario Party, and Super Mario Maker 2.

“Some of the best college memories revolve around playing Nintendo games with friends,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “For the college students out there that don’t yet have a Nintendo Switch system as part of their dorm décor, this tour is the perfect spot to hang out with friends, compete in some entertaining multiplayer games and potentially walk away with serious bragging rights.”

It’s not just the killer game curriculum that makes the Nintendo Switch: Together Tour a cool place to visit. Each stop will also feature multiple spots to snap photos that are sure to rack up hearts on social media. Students who are looking to save a little money will receive a $10 coupon to Target (while supplies last; terms apply) to use on any Nintendo purchase of $75 or more just for stopping by.
